How does it work?
Come into Dublin2Bike and choose your bike, clothing and accessories to a maximum value of €1250 for normal bikes and €1500 for E-bikes.
We will give you a written quote with the bike, clothing and accessories you have chosen.
Bring the quote to your employer, they will organise the payment, and you can then collect your new bike.
What sort of equipment is covered by the scheme?
Tax relief is available on a wide range of cycling gear and cycling equipment – pretty much everything you would need.
This list includes helmets, lights, locks, bells, mirrors, cycle clips, panniers, luggage carriers & straps, pumps, puncture repair kits, cycle tools kits, reflective clothing and reflectors.
How do I pay for the bicycle?
Usually, your employer pays Dublin2Bike for the bicycle, which is then repaid through salary sacrifice over up to 12 months. This generally means that you visit the shop, select the equipment you wish to buy up to the €1,250 or €1,500 limit and Dublin2Bike will invoice your employer directly for the cost.
Expenditure up to this limit will be exempt from PAYE, PRSI, or income levy charges, a potential saving of up to 49.5% depending on the applicable personal tax bands.
